Monday News

Dear Families,

Happy New Year!

January Happenings:

  • Third and Fourth Grade School Play - The students will perform The Granny Awards on January 28th at 1 pm and 6 pm. Mark your calendars!
  • 2-Hour Delayed Opening - January 13th
  • Science - Although Interdependence and Geology will continue throughout the school year, we will begin our Electricity unit in January. We will focus on how electrical energy flows.
  • The Science Fair will start in February and conclude in March. There will be after school working days with teachers this year as an option for students.
  • The January book project will be a comic strip!
  • Reading/Writing - We will be reading and writing Historical Fiction. This is our Informational Writing Unit. We will focus on the American Revolution.
  • Math - 3rd graders start multiplication
  • Would you like to chaperone one or all of the PE cross-country skiing classes. Let me know and I will get you the necessary forms to fill out. You must commit to the whole afternoon if you decide to chaperone. Thanks!
