Dear Families,
The children were amazing in the play! Thank you for coming in the evening with your child and helping with costumes, learning lines and supporting your child!
The second trimester ends on Friday and report cards will be mailed on March 14th. Conferences start the week of March 12th. A conference sign-up sheet will go home on Monday with your child. Please let me know if the times do not work for you.
We will have kinderbuddies on Tuesday in the morning and books and bagels with the whole school on Friday.
We are scheduled for a field trip to Sleepy Hollow on Tuesday to cross-country ski. Unfortunately, the forecast is calling for rain. I will let you know if we are able to go Tuesday afternoon.

Monday News
Dear Families,
We will have a small Valentine's Day exchange on Wednesday. Here is a class list for valentines.

The School Play:
Please help your child prepare his/her costume. Let me know if you need help with a costume. Grace spoke with the children about costumes, so your child should know what to wear. Please have your child bring their costume to school so they can wear it for the dress rehearsal on Thursday. We'd prefer to have all the costumes at school by Tuesday. Grace will be at school on Tuesday morning to help with costumes and review dance moves.
Global School Play Day: Global School Play Day was on February 7th, during our snow day. We will not be rescheduling this event. Make sure to play at home!
Monday is the 100th day of school and Friday we will have our Chinese New Year lunch. Keeping with tradition, the 4th graders will play the drums and be the dragon during lunch.
Don't forget that Wednesday is late start.
Lastly, the week before February vacation is I Love to Read and Write Week. Please contact me if you or a family member would like to come into our classroom and read a favorite picture book to the students.

This week is going to have a lot of changes in our normal routine. On Tuesday, Buddy Dubay will be my guest teacher while I head to Richmond Elementary school to learn about teaching essay writing. I think we will be able to cross-country ski on Tuesday!
We will be participating in Global School Play Day on Wednesday. You can click on this link to read about it.
We will have play practice on Thursday, so we will not go outside. We lead all school morning meeting on Friday and head to the Flynn to see Pilobolus Friday morning.
