Monday News

Dear Families,

The last book project of the school year will go home on Tuesday. For the June Book Project, students will bring in food that is related to their book. There is not a written part to this project, but it will be expected to give the title, the author AND explain to the class why the particular food was chosen. This is our end of the year celebration of our book projects! We will have 2 - 3 students bring food each day from June 11 - 19. A sign-up sheet will go home next week.

Our field trip to Audubon was very successful! The students found lots of macroinvertebrates and were able to compare the brook to the beaver pond. Ask your child what they found in each habitat!

On Friday, the third and fourth graders went on a walking field trip to the cemetery to plant flags for Memorial Day.

Dear Families,

We will have SBAC testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings this week. Please send in headphones or earbuds if you have a pair at home. Children may chew mint gum or have mints. A good night sleep will help your child be successful during testing.

Specials (PE, music, art, guidance) will be moved to the afternoon and we will do science and social studies in the afternoon.

Enjoy your week,

Mrs. Carter

Dear Families,

Does your child have headphones or earbuds? We do not have enough headsets for all the third and fourth graders during SBAC testing. If your child has a pair, please have him/her bring the earbuds or headphones to school. There is a very short listening section on the SBAC test. I will send out a reminder email the day before we need them. Thanks! We will practice for SBAC testing on Tuesday and Wednesday this week for 45 minute sessions.
