Fire Safety Day! Thank you firefighters!

Our class has the job of flag everyday. The flag will be at half-staff until October 31st to honor the victims of the tragedy in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, October 27, 2018. I will not be discussing the event with students, but they will be aware of the flag being lowered. Families can decide how they want to approach the topic with their children.   Here is a resource to help with your decision:

Notes from Nurse Heather
It Is Screening Time!
Hearing and Vision Screenings per Vermont state standards
have been being done this week and will continue into next week.
PK, K, 1 and 3 will be routinely screened. If you hear nothing
from me, your child’s screening was normal. If you receive a
referral letter, the next step is to take your child to their
doctor for further screening.  If you have any questions,
please contact me at school.

Monday News

Dear Families,

Friday is Fire Safety Day.

I will be out Thursday afternoon for a math meeting. Mrs. Stone will be our guest teacher.

Here is a little picture walk through our adventures last week:

What do you do on Outdoor Day when you need to identify a tree and it’s too COLD outside to write? Take a bunch of pictures and do the work in a warm classroom! Then, drink hot lemon balm tea you collected from your tea garden!

Showing off our true stories. Our focus was on elaboration - showing feelings, thinking, dialogue and actions.

Publishing Party with our classmates.

Publishing Party! Reading our true stories to the first and second graders. Look at those engaged students!
