Last Post of the '17-'18 School Year!

Dear Families,

As we say goodbye to the '17-'18 school year, I want to thank you for all you do to support your child in their school experience. It's always amazing for me to see the change in each child in just one school year. 

On Monday, we will have Kinderbuddies, Sandy's BBQ, play Minute-to-Win-It and test ourselves in a game of classmate trivia.

On Tuesday, we will have Move-Up Day at 8 am, followed by games at the rec field and boat races with our new class for the Boat Regatta. The incoming 5th graders will make a team with Ms. Keir. Tuesday afternoon we will clean, sort and pack things up to go home. 

Wednesday is Wicked Fun Day from 12-2. 

Fourth Grade Recognition is Tuesday at 6:00 pm.

It's going to be a fun week! Please remember to send your child with sunscreen on Wednesday.

Monday News

Dear Families,

The June Book Project is to bring in a food that is related to a book your child read at home. Your child may bring the food anyday that works best for you.

The students will have their final science assessment for our Structure and Function unit. Students will conduct an experiment using different "bird beaks" to pick up different kinds of "food".

In writing, students are working on "showing, not telling" their true story. The stories will be made into books this week.

I will be out on Wednesday and Braedy Stone will be the guest teacher.

Sandy's BBQ is on Monday and 4th grade recognition is Tuesday at 6pm.

While the 4th graders were at the track meet, the third graders spent the morning with Mark LaBarr, an ornithologist from the Audubon, catching birds in mist nets and banding them. Ask your child about this great experience!
