Dear Families,
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. The leaves were stunning!
Please look for a permission slip coming home about a field
trip to Lone Rock Point in Burlington on October 22nd. This trip
will tie into our World Geography and Geology units.
This week, Alannah will begin teaching Reading Workshop on
Tuesdays. She teaches in the Y after school program at BPMS. I will have my team meetings with the 3/4 team at this time. This
week we will continue our study of character traits. We will focus on the
changes a character goes through in a story. Students learn that most fiction
stories contain a lesson that the characters learn and grow from. All
characters change, grow, and learn lessons as a result of events or conflicts in
the story.
