Welcome to a New School Year!

Dear Students,

Check out this blog every Monday to see what is happening in our classroom. Here are some highlights from my summer. I can’t wait to hear about your summer!

  •  I read four books. Most of the books were mysteries. That’s my favorite genre!

  •  I took off my “teacher hat” and put on my “student hat” this summer when I took two classes.

  • I hiked Mount Washington, Northeast's highest peak. It was 80 degrees at the base of the mountain and a chilly 44 degrees at the summit!

  • My family and I spent a week at Long Beach Island in New Jersey swimming in the ocean. We discovered my new favorite ice cream shop. When you order an ice cream, they give you a fresh, warm cookie and say, “Every ice cream deserves a cookie”.

  • I also spent 3 days and 2 nights backpacking on the Long Trail with my daughter.

  •  Check out this photo of Opal, my kitten. Isn’t she adorable? We’ve only had her for two days so she’s still adjusting and doesn’t like selfies yet.

From,

Mrs. Carter
