Dear Families,
I hope you are
enjoying the spring weather.
Before break,
your child should have brought home an orange letter explaining the SBAC
(Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) testing.
On Monday, April
25th, the ¾ teachers will allot
two 30 minute times during class to go through the Math and ELA Classroom Activities (Performance Task prep).
On
Tuesday and Wednesday, the tests will be administered from 8-11:00 am. Thursday
morning students will be allowed to continue if they need extra time or missed
school on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Your child can bring gum
or hard candy if they would like during testing. Also, having one’s own earbuds
or earphones will be important.
Due
to the testing, there will be no assigned homework this week. Please make sure
your child gets a good night sleep before testing days.
